Acupressure and Auricular Therapy
Both acupressure and auricular therapy are based on Oriental theories
of medicine.
Oriental medicine postulates that there are lines of electrical force
that run in certain and specific patterns throughout the body. Each of
these electrical lines of force, known as meridians, run through different
organs and produce effects on different systems of the body.
Each meridian has several points along its path where a therapeutic intervention
can be made. This can be accomplished by the use of acupuncture needles
or by pressure on the point. We do not do acupuncture or use needles in
our office. We do occasionally use acupressure, non-piercing ear pellets,
and magnets on certain of these points to produce balancing and healing
effects.
All of the bodys organs and systems are represented in points found
on the auricle of the ear. Dr. Casey has frequently used the auricular
points to complement other methods of healing. For example, a client who
was helped to stop smoking simply with the use of ear pellets said that,
of all the things he had ever tried, the auricular therapy was the most
effective. In a case such as this, auricular therapy plus guided imagery,
plus massage for relaxation, plus nutritional and herbal support could
be a really well rounded approach. This is an example of the many ways
we can combine different therapies to produce the very best results for
you.

What Our Clients Say
Ive spent the past five years going
from doctor to doctor, therapy to therapy. In all that time, no one has
helped me as much as you have in just one session!
